Quantum Flagship

The Quantum Flagship is the European Union's ambitious €1 billion quantum technology initiative launched in 2018 as one of the largest research programs in the history of the EU, coordinating quantum research and development across 27 countries with over 5,000 researchers and more than 2,000 European companies and research institutions, focusing on quantum computing, quantum simulation, quantum communication, quantum sensing and metrology, supporting fundamental research, technology development, and industrial applications to position Europe as a global leader in quantum technologies and create a thriving European quantum technology ecosystem.
