About

QuantumCTek is a Chinese quantum communication technology company founded in 2009 as a spinout from University of Science and Technology of China by prominent scientists including Pan Jianwei (China's 'father of quantum') and Guo Guangcan, becoming China's first publicly traded quantum technology company on Shanghai Stock Exchange Science and Technology Innovation Board (Stock Code 688027) in 2020, developing QKD systems deployed across China's 46-node Hefei quantum network and Beijing-Shanghai Quantum Communication Backbone, expanding into quantum computing with receipt of a 504-qubit 'Xiaohong' superconducting chip in 2024. In October 2025, QuantumCTek in partnership with China Telecom Quantum Group (CTQG) deployed a superconducting quantum computer based on the Zuchongzhi 3.0 design for commercial use on the Tianyan quantum cloud platform, featuring a chip with 105 readable qubits and 182 couplers to perform complex calculations, marking a significant step toward practical quantum computing applications with remote access capabilities for researchers and enterprises worldwide through the cloud platform operated from their Hefei headquarters. The company serves government agencies, financial institutions, and energy companies with quantum-secure communication solutions as part of China's national quantum strategy.
