yiyaniQ is a Toronto-based quantum technology company founded in 2021, operating at the intersection of AI, quantum computing, and finance. The company is the first spin-out from Vector Institute and provides financial institutions with fast and accurate algorithms for pricing complex derivatives and optimizing portfolios of financial assets. yiyaniQ uses neural networks to achieve faster and more accurate derivative pricing calculations, addressing one of finance's most difficult computational problems. Co-founded by Vector Institute postgraduate affiliate Estelle Inack (CTO) and Behnam Javanparast (CEO), the company name derives from Basa'a, a language from Inack's native Cameroon, where 'yi' means intelligence and 'yaani' means tomorrow, with 'Q' representing quantum. The founding research was published in Nature Machine Intelligence.
